What is the difference between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi?

Updated 4 months ago.

As the names suggest, the primary difference between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi are the radio frequency used for each. 2.4GHz tends to currently be used for older Wi-Fi standards, such as 802.11b/g/n. It’s supported by more devices, though is not quite as fast as newer Wi-Fi standards and is usually subjected to more interference than 5 GHz.
