Do IPv6 and IPv4 addresses look different?
Yes. IPv4 addresses are 32-bits in length, while IPv6 are 128-bits. This means that there are many times more IPv6 addresses than IPv4. To account for this vast difference, IPv6 address are written in hexadecimal and are represented differently than IPv4 addresses.
